The Senior Adult Ministry at First Baptist is first and foremost about Bible study and serving the Lord.

  
 

Senior Adults may need to renew their commitment to God and His purposes, and then commit to keep their priority on God and the work He gives us. Our Senior Adult Ministry provides this opportunity.

We have a large number of Senior Adult Sunday School classes and other groups that meet the needs of couples, as well as separate classes for men and ladies. We have many long-time teachers who study and teach the Bible. It is through these small groups that members are able to fellowship and get to know one another.

Our Senior Adults are encouraged to volunteer their time in ministries of the church. Some of these ministries include Compassion House, PrimeTimers, mission trips and many more.

PrimeTimers is a ministry that brings in quality entertainers for our Seniors enjoyment. Several trips to fun places are made each year. This group also provides some funding for mission trips.

Hope for the Heart is an ongoing support group for adults 60 and over who are living alone at this point in their lives. We will provide fun, fellowship, hope and good food. we will encourage each other in our personal lives and in our walk with the Lord. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 5pm in the NOW Center. Reservations are a must. Call (863)682-0163x316 or email marylou.helm@fbclakeland.org.

The In Home Ministry supports our members who are no longer able to attend church. Are you not able to come to church because of your age or physical health?  Let us know.  The In Home Ministry is specifically designed for you.
